Rising STARS

• For dogs over 12 months (no upper age limit).
• Flexible options, join any week.
• Complete all 6 classes to graduate.
• Pay as you go per class or pay for the full 6 week course and get a 10% discount.

Rising STARS lays the foundations for basic training and assists Guardians in understanding basic training techniques. It's a great starter course for dogs who have missed some of their basic training, have not been training before or would like a refresher.

More About The Course

The full 6 week course covers:

• Basic positions (sit, down, stand)
• Recall
• Walking nicely on a lead
• Taking items away
• Impulse control
• Food manners
• The power of play
• Stay for approximately 30 seconds
• Practicing for vet handling and grooming
• Cleanliness and identification
• Socialisation with a placid dog unknown to the dog
• Socialisation with an adult person unknown to the dog
• Socialisation with noise distraction
• Responsibility and care (recognition of basic health problems, health protection for the dog, separation anxiety, socialisation with people and other dogs)

Dogs who successfully complete the course are encouraged to continue their learning in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme.
