Intermediate level of the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme.

- Dogs must have achieved the KC GCDTS Bronze Award to be assessed for the Silver Award.

More About This Course
The course aims to build on the skills learned in Bronze Award while increasing the level of difficulty. It is a natural progression of practical dog training skills and introduces new concepts such as greeting a friend, vehicle control and a road walking exercise which are vital in everyday life situations.
The training will cover:
- Come away from distractions
- Controlled greetings
- Food manners
- Rejoin handler
- Play with the dog
- Road Walk
- Vehicle control
- Stay in one place for 2 minutes
- Examination of the dog
- Responsibility and care (covering children, barking, dogs and stationary vehicles and vehicle travel)
Dogs who achieve the KC GCDTS Silver Award are encouraged to continue their learning in the KC GCDTS Gold Award course and/or Rally STARS.
